3rd Year First Semester –Five down, Three to go

The first semester of my third year college life has ended. It brought different things, and experience that will remain in me for a long time. I achieved a little in my academe but the best in my chosen path. I met a couple of new faces and brought my relationships with old ones to another level. My habits are changed a little bit but I think it is for the better. With another chapter unfolding, I want to go back to my experiences from day one.


It’s been two semesters that I have been with my current set of classmates. They are easy to get along with unlike the past and I think I’ll stick to them for good. Each of them has something to say, and they are no-nonsense people. There are times when we’re serious and talk about current issues as next year will be the presidential elections. But more often than not, we laugh about jokes. However, my classmates don’t lack discipline contrast to my former colleagues. When class hours, all are attentive to the teacher and participates well in recitations. Though battered by endless assignments and quizzes, they always find time to relax and chill out. Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology –Y4IT Day 1 (Part 2)

Y4it-logoAfter a bountiful meal from the Alumni canteen beside Ang Bahay ng Alumni at the UP campus, I was geared up for the second part of the first day of the Y4IT 2009. The afternoon session was started with a short speech from a Thomasian Alumnus, Ricky Orellana. He worked variously as a director, animator, film editor and art director on short and feature films and documentaries. He began to make films while studying architecture at the University of Santo Tomas. He is currently the Archives Head at Mowelfund and teaches part-time at the College of St. Benilde’s School of Design and Arts handling Experimental Animation.


After his speech, he showed some of the Philippine-made animations with some winning several local and international competitions. The trailer of the movie RPG which is scheduled to be released next year Read the rest of this entry…
