Hello World, Hello to a Life of Learning
Of all the programming books that I’ve read over the past, one thing is common; they all start on how to display two words, Hello World. A day before my 18th birthday, I finally worked on my first WordPress theme. Months of reading and ‘googling’ had paid off. My sleepless nights will, for now, be finally over. At last, I found something that I enjoy doing and for sure, will benefit me and my future career and to start is this first post on my blog (well, technically, this isn’t the first but the post before this was just generated by WordPress and I decided not to remove it).
Just a few months ago, I was so excited for my subject ICS7 (Interface Design and Web Technologies). It was the first time since my high school HTML lessons that I would be able to work on things concerning the internet. I can’t say that I’m truly a web savvy (though I have accounts on major networking and bookmarking sites, oh mind you, I have deleted my Friendster account) because I don’t have a stable internet connection and I’m not always online. But the fact that I’m pursuing a career in this field, I’m doing the best I can to be good at this. Read the rest of this entry…
