This year, university and post-graduate students are offered exciting opportunities for higher education abroad. From January thru March, the British Council opens its doors to higher education in the United Kingdom through Education UK. The campaign highlights Education UK’s message of “Your Future on Track” and provides interested Filipinos a venue to explore educational possibilities in the United Kingdom. For the first quarter of 2010, three (3) key activities will be held in support of British Council’s Education UK, namely: an Alumni Counselling Session, Funding Options Seminar, and the Education UK Exhibition. The various activities taking place at each event are designed to arm visitors with the necessary information they would need from gathering information on UK schools to application and visa preparation.

The first of a series of Education UK events is the Alumni Counselling Session taking place at the Makati Shangri-la on January 29, 2010.  The Alumni Education Exhibition will showcase alumni from the top universities in the UK, including Oxford University and Cambridge University. Wordtrotter, fondly dubbed “The World’s Coolest Word Game” by fans and gamers from around the world is now the first Filipino-created, Filipino-developed, and Filipino-owned video game on Facebook…

The game challenges players of all ages to guide an uncanny word bug known asWordtrotter in a quest to catch mystical alphabet bugs, the Letterbugs, to form a secret magical word that will save the world from being destroyed by the curse of a wicked witch.

Or monsters will have them for lunch—alive!

Launched on Wordtrotter Facebook last November 9, 2009, Wordtrotter aims to stand toe-to-toe with foreign video games on the social platform.

Wordtrotter , currently ranks number one in the world in Google’s search results for the keyword phrase “world’s coolest word game.”
