WordTrotter Becomes the First Filipino Video Game on Facebook!

Wordtrotter, fondly dubbed “The World’s Coolest Word Game” by fans and gamers from around the world is now the first Filipino-created, Filipino-developed, and Filipino-owned video game on Facebook…

The game challenges players of all ages to guide an uncanny word bug known asWordtrotter in a quest to catch mystical alphabet bugs, the Letterbugs, to form a secret magical word that will save the world from being destroyed by the curse of a wicked witch.

Or monsters will have them for lunch—alive!

Launched on Wordtrotter Facebook last November 9, 2009, Wordtrotter aims to stand toe-to-toe with foreign video games on the social platform.

Wordtrotter , currently ranks number one in the world in Google’s search results for the keyword phrase “world’s coolest word game.”

Plants vs Zombies, a simple but cool game from PopCap

I came about these exciting game called Plants vs Zombies. It’s been a buzz since I’ve heard it from one of my classmates and day after another, majority of the class. I bought a copy from PopCap Games and found that it is surprisingly cheap. It cost me 183.00 pesos, discounted by the coupon I got from subscribing to their newsletter (it was originally 199.0 PHP, roughly 4.00 USD). Registering it is automatic as long as you’re connected to the internet.pvz


To play the game, you must build an infantry of plants to defend your home against a hoard of zombies (pretty easy eh?) I finished the Adventure mode at about a day nonstop. It is composed of five stages with 10 levels each (front yard, front yard-nighttime, backyard, backyard-nightime and roof) excluding the boss stage. While hurdling through these stages, I received plants of sort with different abilities dependent on what kind of zombies the next level would be.
